Background reading...

I can recommend a couple of books if you want to know more about crew work, tactics, racing navigation etc.

Bryan Willis, "The Rules in Practice". We all should be at least familiar with the rules, and obviously this is essential for helm, bowman and tactician.

Stuart Quarrie, "Offshore Race Crew's Manual" and "Navigation, Strategy & Tactics".

Frank Bethwaite's High Performance Sailing is the reference in it's area...

If you use these links below then there will be a small addition to the crew morale fund...

Bill Gladstone, "Performance Racing Trim" and  "Performance Racing Tactics"; these are American and a bit difficult to get hold of, but Kelvin Hughes stock them and can do mail order. Well worth it as they are entertaining
